Istanbul Turkey 1.22.288 Video + Setup


Hi Guys,

you voted for Turkey - Istanbul and here we go with a new video and setup for this track.
Online mode, equal car performance,tyre wear and fuel sim, no driving assists as usual.
There are some things to sort out with this setup but it works quiet good, especially in races.
I recorded that thing late evening, so my son was sleeping again and stereo headsets did a good job. Video with sound will follow... :-)
Hint: Try lowering the Front Wing more to 7 or 6. Should be faster but I have to evaluate that.

  2. hi! first thing i want to say, that your site is great and so your setups.

    i'd like to ask if you have setups for other tracks? i've just joined racing league, and i found little difficult to make my own setups.

    yeah indeed I have setups for some tracks, and I'll add them step by step on this blog. When you need a setup for one track cause of your league race urgent just post me a message with your mail.

      in fact, i have a nurburging race this Sunday, and next week Budapest (just like the real schedule goes).

      I'll be very greatful for setups for this tracks. It's really hard to train when you compare your times to the others, and you don't know if your loss is because your driving skills, or your setup.

  4. Hi, great tips ! I have trouble adjusting gears ratio and seem to have blown up my engine twice by doing so.

    Do you have any video tutorial on gears adjustment ?

    You play on PS3 right ? what is your nickname ,I will add you if possible.

    Just got this game 3 weeks ago,i suck at it for now but getting better.Just got a Logitech G27 sterring wheel and now i ordered a playseat alcantara.

      To beat the fastest guys out there you will need 1.17's with option tyres :-)

    My name is thiago and im a brazilian driver. So, in my race league , we use diferent cars in races with 2011 performance.
    The next race is catalunya and my car is hrt , because im in first place in championship and the this car is undriveble with my setup...
    So , if you have any idea to help me to construction a new setup for hrt will welcome.
    I need help with dry and rain weather...

  9. Hi Udias,

    ok when you are driving in F1 2011 mode in hrt you should set gears as much to the left as possible, despite of the first gear. So first gear fully to the right. Then 2nd and 3rd nearly fully to the left and 4th 5th 6th 7th with small jumps but as much left as possible to form a line.
    Wings 8,8 ride 2 2 antiroll 3-10, maximum camber and minimum toe in (all to the right)
    springs 11-10

    puh cant really say. I dont drive often the hrt in f12011 mode.
    Whats your fastest time in equal performance mode?

  13. In catalunya , remember...with equal mode i did 1:16:200 , but with hrt in 2011 mode i did 1:22:00.
    i need help to do better...its possible run under 1:22:00 with hrt?

    As I told you I used your setup in Turkey. When racing with 20% wear and cars equalized. My best lap with soft tire was 1.23.544. My ideal lap is 1.23.2xx.

  16. thanks man great set up,turkey i was getting 1.26 in williams got it down to 1.25 and thats it,so used your set up got the mclearn 1st fling lap 1.24 3 laps later 1.23 7 :)

  18. Hi, nice blog i always beat the AI on Expert but i was having some troubles playing competitive online because i dont know how to make good setups yet. Anyway i have a question regarding the gearbox in this setup.

    Gearbox in km/h: 120, 161, 191, 221, 255, 288, 329
    Gear1 = 124 or 130? (Minimum is 124, i cant put 120)

    Nice blog.
    I was getting 1.23 with my setup, but with your set up, i'm getting 1.22 (1.22.1 the best).
    Online mode, equal car performance (williams),tyre wear and fuel sim, no driving assists except TC.
