Interlagos Brasil 1.07.155 Video + New Setup

Hi guys,

first of all wish you a Happy New Year!
once more I have improved the Sao Paulo Interlagos Setup.
Online mode, equal car performance, tyre wear and fuel sim, no driving assists as usual.
We are near our final setup for Sao Paulo. You should be really competitive with this setup. The only thing I really have to improve now is the gearbox. The rpm from 6th to 7th is terrible at the moment.
Study the line and braking points carefully in the video and you should be ready for your next online race in Interlagos!
New Setup Tutorials and a Poll about the next circuit coming soon...

  1. Hey Seb, Shaggy here. Well done on the blog, I check it most days.

Just was wondering though, were you not doing high 1:06s at Interlagos, pretty regularly before in qualifying? Are your setups more race focused than qualifying?

Hope you had a good christmas and new year.

    Cheers

  2. Hi Ben,

nice to hear you. Yeah indeed I was driving a 1.06.9 already but didn't record it. You are right the setup are especially good in races. One very fast mate called ImpulsiveRacer is able to drive 1.06.5, but in race he seems to have pretty the same pace in Sao Paulo as me. I don't really remember my times when we were racing, but I'm pretty sure you were also in the 1.06's.
Hope you will give F1 2011 a new chance after battlefield 3 ;-)

    Cheers

  3. another great setup mate!
Still could not get in the 1:07,1xx or below 1:07,000, but my times dropped from 1:07,7xx to 1:07,3xx... I am still struggling a bit with the back spin, may try a 9-10 wing setting, or maybe change a bit the allignment (though I think it is absolutely fine at the moment).
Thanks a lot for sharing the information. Waiting for next setups / lessons .
    best regards

  4. just an update. Tested the 9-10 wing but it did not work. Actually gave me more drag, not resulting in quicker corner speeds. Also tried the small brake size, so the car would be lighter and quicker, but besides not locking any wheels, I had to got a bit more careful and could not get quicker.
going back to your original setup could finally get a 1:07,165 in my first qualifying lap, and could not get any lower than that - but I`m quite happy with current pace.
    thanks for sharing your setups

    1. Hi mate,
thx for your feedback much appreciated! Love to hear when my setups make people quicker and more important make them experiment tweaking them. I understood that you have little to much oversteer. So let the wings 9-9. Now you have to options. First try to set the Front Toe to 0.10 or 0.09. This should help. If not, try to make the Rear antirollbar a bit softer.so 9-7 or make the front antirollbar stiffer 10-8.

      Best regards

  5. Hey mate! tried the adjustments above, but none of them made me quicker. Anyway, I guess the original setup was exceptional. The problem was the weight in my right foot hehe.. needed some smoother throttle.
I was wondering if you could send me your setups for Spa, Melbourne and Montreal. This way I would have a good basis for the next setups (i'm sure you'll post them later, but maybe I could be working/understanding them before the posts.) I have also used your dry setup in Interlagos and tweeked for a Wet condition. Got a 1:13,1xx under pouring rain, almost 2 secs lower than other drivers. If you want, i can post that, or send you through email.
    Thanks a lot

  6. Just wanted to say how great Your Blog is ! It has already helped me to understand some of the aspects of creating my own setups. This weekend I have a league race on SPA and I was wondering If You could help me with setting a car for this track?
    Best Regards,
    Mark( maroslota@googlemail.com)

    1. Hi Mark,

much appreciated that this blog helps you.
At the moment I haven't worked out a perfect setup for spa. Perhaps for your reference you should know that the fastest guys on ps3 are able to lap a mid 1:39 without driving aids. I would suggest to go with relative low wings 8-8, nearly maximised camber (-3,5;-1,4) and toe alignment centered. Springs to 9-9, Antirollbar 8-8. As I said its just a first shot.

      Best regards

  7. Hiya! Umm I am sure it has come to your attention before, but equal cars are not all equal for the same setup, which is silly, but you can still get the same sort of lapt times! So this set up is for Williams and stuff online, but say a Renault set up is very different :)

    1. Hi ya,

yeah that is true. But to be honest you can only counterwork the slower renault/ferrari. There are 3 classes of cars. When you are in a renault you will be 1 second slower, also with the best setup possible. Its a bug in the game.

  8. hey mate! first of all amazing setup! really helped me alot.

Secondly, i know this would sound pretty stupid but i almost put on a clean lap yet i cant get my laptimes down to 1.7's. fastest i have done is 1.8.0. is it because i use full traction control?

    1. Hi mate,

thx for the feedback. Well I don't know if the setup suits full traction control as I'm driving without driving aids.
But I know a couple of fast guys who drive with tc on.
Perhaps become a member on this blog and send me a message again, so I can redirect to some really fast tc on experts I know.

  9. Hei, I tried this setup and end of the line only goes to 311 km / h.
So, the published setup is not the same video.
I tried in Grand Prix mode, all sims ON, all helps OFF, car Red Bull.
I play on my PC, PS3 or XBOX perhaps the car reaches 321 km/h, but not on PC, only goes to 311 km/h.

    1. Hi Lofifi,

yeah that makes sense cause there are different performances between online mode in a lobby and GP mode in offline gaming. GP mode is 2011 performance mode, watch the topic "F12011 Performance Gaps" on this blog.
To get the best comparison you should drive the williams in a online lobby all helps off and sims on.
      Thanks for your message.
